College sports is a perfect thing for congress to get involved in

They can hold hearings. Sit on their thones and look down upon the peons and wag their fingers and belittle them with platitudes and trite. Pass a bunch of laws and regulations that make it harder to do anything. Then when things get worse they can do it again and demand more control.

But most of all they get to tell the peons that their betters are taking care of this for them...which in the end is all they care about, because the midless peons vote for them because of it.
